Wonderfull image. I love the stillness in their eyes.And It seems, even in other countries, the reenactors seem to wear their coif ("Bundhaube") open. The medieval way to wear it would have been tied below the chin. But I don't do it as well.

Thanks I guess they would choose to wear their clothes in a more relaxed manner at times too.

Oh, don't tell this all them 'serious' reenactors. "No presumption! We are working on proven facts." But I guess you are right.

I've seen and heard endless discussions about "historical correctness". Guess i'm a little more open to the creativity of the human mind than some others i know.There are no proven facts other than stories, illuminations, paintings, embroideries, drawings and such - written and made by creative minds If reenactors should keep strictly withing what is actually found (from what we call the viking age 790 -1100), how should we dress? It wouldn't be much variation to see. Textiles are just fragments and clothes are just fragments.
