I hope this is the right category...

Well anyway. I drew this back in November, I believe... and held off posting it for reasons. This picture was inspired by a poem a friend of mine wrote, specifically this bit:

it's like little bits of Heaven . . . are falling down all around you
like shooting stars, surrounding your feet
and when you walk, you walk through a field of stars
through an endless expanse of glittering magnificence
the sky above your head, the starry canopy beneath your feet
and in this moment, the earth and sky are one
in so simple a moment, you are alive.

So yeah. It put this image in my head and I determined to draw it. To be honest it's not quite what I saw in my head, but it generates the right feeling, so it's okay. : )
