Oh my dog, this is so amazingly phenomenal... seriously, she's captured mid-laugh with such joy. I struggle to make my sculpts look remotely human, and then I see this and I'm simultaneously inspired to work harder and overwhelmed by the sheer fact that there's no possible way I could ever capture this amount of life in a piece of clay.
Thank you so much for creating this sort of piece, and for sharing it with the world. You give me something to dream about, something to hope for...

You've got that right... when I try to force it, my fingers won't do what they need to. The clay ends up just fighting me every step of the way. But when I'm inspired, when I'm sculpting (or painting, or writing, or anything else, for that matter) for the sheer joy of it, that's when I get something that's decent.
Nowhere near THIS decent, but I'm new. *laughs* Maybe one day...
I'm curious, did you teach yourself, do you have an art background? Are there classes that can show you how to do what you do?
One of my problems is that there are just so many things I want to learn to do. I draw, paint, sew, sculpt... if it's creative, I want to do it! Too many inspirations, not enough time...

Thank you! No, I actually sculpted the whole head at once. The teeth are formed during that phase with everything else.
