Edit: Okay, so recently, I was browsing the internet for Dreamtale stuff, and I stumbled across at least four different people that have used this picture, either as covers for fanfics or for a picture of Nightmare on a wiki page? Don't get me wrong, guys, I'm flattered, and I'm glad that people like this pic so much, but PLEASE ask me before you use one of my pictures for something, alright? And at least credit me as the picture's creator when you use it? Thank you.Wow, the second Undertale related piece I've done, and it's STILL alternate universe stuff.
I really need to pull myself out of the AU trash bin, but AUs like Dreamtale just make it SO FREAKING DIFFICULT. I just love it THAT MUCH. The backstory of the AU is amazing, and the characters. Ho boy, the characters. Their personalities, their freaking DESIGNS. They. Are. Incredible.
Which brings us to this guy. Nightmare!Sans is just . . . wow. I mean, LOOK at this guy! What's not to love about a goopy skeleton? It's just such a COOL concept, and SO FREAKING FUN TO DRAW.
Don't get me wrong, still wouldn't want to meet him in a back alleyway - or anywhere, for that matter - and he's rude as all heck sometimes but still, HOLY CRAP I LOVE THIS SANS.

Well, it WOULD make sense - Betty's soul is the soul of fear, after all. Also, apparently Kumu's full name, Akumu, means nightmare (not sure if that's true or not.) So there's that!

It would be pretty cool, but it would also be more than a little terrifying, because if Betty was on Nightmare's team... well, Nightmare can travel between universes. So Betty could theoretically do the same, with his help.

Nightmare: *disappears and reappears in front of the fleeing duo, still radiating negative emotions. He looks somewhere between amused and pissed off* Oh no you don't, you little b r a t.

Nightmare: *His grin gets a little wider and nastier* What, did you expect me to let you get away when you're the one who picked a fight with me? *He attacks Betty with his tentacles, aiming for her legs*

Your little pet there eats souls? *His aura intensifies exponentially, waves of fear rolling off of him* Heh heh heh... well isn't that useful? *the air around them seems to start turning black, darkness spreading outwards from where he's standing* Maybe I should take your little pet a f t e r y o u ' r e d e a d .

Kumu turns small while betty was holding him closely

Nightmare: *closes his eye, his grin growing in size, and the blackness oozing into existence around him begins to sprout more tentacles (not sure if he can actually do this or not but what the hey)* Heh... *his eye snaps open again, and the expression he levels at Betty is downright insane-looking* A n d h o w a r e y o u g o i n g t o s t o p m e ? *his tentacles attack again - they're still dodgeable, but only barely*

*she vanishes quickly*

Nightmare: *glowers at where she disappeared* Oh, so that's how you're going to play this? *he closes his eye again and focuses - he feels for Betty's negative emotions (this I KNOW he can do), and when he senses them, uses them to teleport to her* Nice try, b r a t, but you're not getting away from me t h a t easily!
(Interesting fact about Betty - I'm pretty sure her hair turns pink when she's genuinely frightened. We see it happen during her fight with Gaster, if nothing else. Hint hint.)

Betty sweate and her turns all pink and she kinda gets scared......"IM NOT GONNA LET YOU TAKE KUMU AWAY!!!!! IM NOT GONNA LET YOU KILL HIM EITHER" she says it so she can try to stay brave

Nightmare: *almost corrects her, because he technically said he'd kill HER and not kumu and he doesn't know that their lives are connected (I think that's glitchtale canon?), but her hair turning pink as her fear increases catches his attention* What's with the pink hair, brat? Seems an oddly bright color for someone to turn when she's about to piss herself in f e a r.

Nightmare: *follows her more easily this time, since she's afraid, though now he's following her less because of an intent to kill and more because of a kind of aggressively disbelieving curiosity* In all seriousness, brat, why pink?

Betty was smiling evil and has stabbed sans's soul (glitchtale chans...ill get a lot hate for that)

(Also nightmare's just like watching all this going down in the background rubbing his hands together and going YESSSSSSS more negative energy, because I can literally think of nothing else he might be doing here haha)

Kumu defends betty by being a shield type and betty kept looking at her

Chara sends an even larger barrage of glowing slashes through the air at Betty - it's practically a storm of them, they literally fill the air around them.

Chara has remembered what sans said....about warning the others so..she sad sighed about losing her only lover but she's gonna do this for him...she retreats quickly
Betty smiled "dont worry kumu,we'll get her soon = )" she giggled evil and walks but notice nightmare

Betty was getting weak from fighting nightmare..she collasped and kumu tried to get her up....she was dying....
