Taken in Claremont Gardens, Surbiton - twice.
Looks almost like a set of slides, or some celluloid.
NOTE: Not only are these photos in different seasons, but they're also in different years and were taken with different cameras. I've been meaning to do this for a while, I just never got around to it >.>

It's funny the contrast here! All the colour in the first photo, and so little of it in the next 
Looking at the photos independantly, the symmetry of the centred arches is great, and it's balanced nicely by the natural side of the asymmetric bushes
The two photos look as if they've been taken at the exact same place, at the exact same level... was that coincidence, editing, or did you take a reference along? Either way, it's a great effect.

They were taken at more or less the same place, I didn't take a reference (although that's a damn good idea >.> ). I was aiming to get the same shot though.

thats beautiful, I wish the seasons where I live were that distinct. What kinds of cameras did you use? They have really nice quality.

Well the winter one was taken with a really basic 3.2 megapixel digital compact camera, and the summer one was taken with my current camera, a 5 Mp dSLR

That's gorgoeus! I love the contrast between the two scenes, especially the difference between the trees etc. around the place - they're the same and yet completely different.

Thats amazing, I wish our streets had beautiful things beside them. I really love this concept btw, I've been lookin to do something similar with all 4 of the seasons but it would definitely be a test of patientce lol. I love how the two seasons affect the feeling you get from the picture. Like the winter one seems so much more expansive and empty while the summer one seems full of life and somehow smaller. And the colour, Summer has so much of it while Winter almost looks black and white. It really shows how the seasons change every aspect of a scene, which might sound stupid but I never really noticed the extent of it until now. Great job!

One of the great things about it is it's literally right next to the main street, and it's quite surprising to find a nice little tranquil place just a few steps away from all the shops

I really like the winter one... I don't know why but it just grabs me. I'd rather be standing in the spring/summer one but the winter one's just gorgeous.

I remember going all over the place and snapping like mad when I took the winter photo, it was just amazing. We hardly ever get anything like that, it was a great opportunity.
