Description
My third Top Gear* picture.Mr James May AKA Captain Slow in an old Rolls Royce.
The title this time is based on an expression they sometimes use in the show - giving it the beans - i.e. driving very fast

How on Earth did you find reference pictures for the Rolls-Royce Legalimit? If you have, as you say, "virtually no interest in cars what so ever", how did you know about this extinct car?
It is a perfect car for a James May type! It is limited to 20 mph in any gear! Perfect for Captain Slow!

I just did a google image search on 'old rolls royce' and trailed through all the images until I found a few I could use for reference. In the end I found an old artist's pencil drawing (can't remember which website it was from) that became the main one I worked from. I didn't know which Rolls Royce I was painting, if the colours I chose were right or anything like that. It just looked 'right' for Captain Slow, although now that you mention it, I've just checked in my reference folder and found the pic and the file name is RR-legalimit - I'd never even noticed that before
