So I was perusing some old files on a rarely-used external HD, and found this piece that I had neglected to post. Wow! Has it really been 11 years? I think I was putting her and Isibar together when I was working on Wild Space Saga as a webcomic concept with our old layout artist.

I don't mention Cala much except in passing, but believe it or not, she and Isibar were the very first two Wild Space Saga characters that I ever thought up. I described their meeting and romance in an experimental short story that I really didn't think turned out all that well. But I felt that the characters were salvageable. I may one day finish that "Mother and Child" short comic, which does feature Cala in the end, but well ... who knows? Cala is the lifemate of Isibar of Rhoma, who, after falling in love, settled down with her on An're'hara. They have an ever-growing family of 15 children (thus far), and their marriage is a happy one. Cala is more the domestic than adventurous type, but has gotten into a few adventures with her husband in the past before the two settled down. She will definitely become a part of the WSS story proper.
