Haha. Yeah. I do that. I guess growing up, 30 was always this looming specter. I always dreaded that point. For the last few years I've been dreading it more since it was so near. I figured I'd hit 30 and that would officially mean I was old. But since I turned 30 I realize, like every other mile-stone birthday in anyone's life, I feel no different and I act no different. But I'm still stuck in that mind frame.
Oh, and regardless of the implications of such a statement (i.e. "when you get my age...") it is true. Maybe less about the number and more about the life circumstances. Married with a 5 year old child, a job, and a college degree, few local friends, there isn't much excitement to be held in one's birthday.
You say you'll be 30 in a few months? When is your birthday?
And yes, I had a great birthday. It was nice and pleasant.
