Very nice. I was thinking of getting some ND filters and I usually buy B+W. What densities should I start with ?

Thank you
Well I'd just go all the way and get the ND110, 10 stop filter, there is a strong magenta hue, but if you use tungsten white balance it corrects most of it.
That'll let you shoot 30 seconds+ during the day. I used to have a 1 stop ND filter but I found it useless.
The Hoya HMC ND400 9-stop ND filter has much less cast and is cheaper, it's up to you really, I am very happy with my ND100 though, there is a ND110 MRC version which is very expensive, which is multi coated but I don't know if the extra you pay is worth it.

Thanks for that. I just wish good filters were not so expensive. I put a B+W UV filter on the front of all my lenses when I buy them and they cost enough for 72mm and 77mm. I saw some cheap sets on e-bay but figured they wouldn't be much good. I'll go with the single 9 or 10 stop option as you suggest.

You may be surprised, But the best UV filter isn't a B+W as I thought, (I have F-Pro US+Haze filters on all my lenses, I wish I read this before I did lol)

That is a Good UV filter guide.

The Hoya is cheaper and if you want to cut more light on the 9 stop ND just stop down, it's easier tan adjusting your white balance ever 20 minutes haha
I have the B+W ND110 (10 Stop) and there is quite a bit of doctoring required at times regarding white balance.

That's typical. When my insurance company replaced my gear I could have had any make I wanted. I chose B+W because of the name. Never mind, they are mainly there to protect the lens. Thanks for the advice, I'll have a look around for some ND stuff.

Hoya ND 400 has less colour cast than the B+W but is 9 instead of 10 stop. Add a CPL and you have 10 stop lol

I may have to wait a bit. I've been splashing out lately and the wishlist is just getting longer. I want a macro lens and a fisheye. I seem to have accidentally double bid on two 8mm's on E-Bay and it looks like I might get both :/

Nice stitching effort, I always wondered how to stitch long exposures ....

Thanks mate
Ahh Yeah I know your pain, It's actually semi manually done, I load files into stack with auto alignment, bet then I erase bits away that don't match up and fill in the gaps
Takes a long time but better results than Photoshop attempting to do it itself

Some of these are pretty cool! I reckon you should try it with a busy road like the West Gate. I know you wouldn't get the trails like you do at night but it could have some interesting results.
