Ah, at long last, I finished my entry (just on time
) for #Disney-club 's "Movies That Could Have Been" contest!I chose to base my story on an idea pitched in 2002 for a movie called "The Fool's Errand", about "a court jester who goes on a mythical journey to return peace to his kingdom." I renamed my version to "Fooled" (like the new trend of "Tangled," "Brave," and "Frozen"), and although I initially thought about setting it in the more obvious period of Medieval England, I decided to relocate it to Renaissance Italy instead, because I thought that would be a lot of fun to design. I think the *Disney morals* of this story are "don't be fooled by appearances," and "never take your friends for granted."
I admit I went overboard in my picture...to be honest I sort of wanted to make this into a webcomic and then remembered I can't draw anything other than characters standing around, haha. But I do think I will draw them some more after this contest is over!

(P.S. Jangle should be in most of the scenes with Marco but...I'm still learning how to draw parrots. XD)

This is one of the greatest stories IΒ΄ve ever seen. I love it because the plot is so amazing, the royal fool is the hero and heΒ΄s going to safe the prince, which is so original because no one has put a royal fool as protagonist of the story. And I like the idea of the prince has a siser and a parrot is the mascot of the fool. I hope that he and his group can safe the prince.
If the story were a movie, I would watch it. And I also hope you will win the contest

I ALMOST chose this film as my entry because I loved the concept so much but then I changed my mind (and then I ran out of time to do my entry in, so oh well). So this makes me very happy because you did such a good job! The character designs and the story you came up with are all excellent and your tagline is just awesome. "When the kingdom is upside down, only a Fool can set things right"--I'd watch this in a heartbeat!

Ironically I almost DIDN'T pick this one but when I asked some people on a board I'm on everyone seemed to suggest it. When I started brainstorming, I came up with a lot of ideas!

This is absolutely wonderful.
The story in which this idea originated is one I'm familiar with. In the days my sister had leukemia, the hospital made us all dolls of the jester with the story to go along with it. I'm a bit sad they never went with it...
...but if they had, I imagine it'd be just like you made it. β₯
