Wonderful color choice, the brown really brings out the blue of the Horsea, and the red in the eyes. The different shades of the color appear to be perfect, and have the right amount of white and/or black anded to them.
The line work is well crafted and appear to be constant. The way the lines move in this piece create a lovely curve which mimics the positioning of the Horsea. This Curving layer really makes the image pop and interesting, because it makes it appear dynamic.
The texture you've put in the image makes it appear like a print, which is a beautiful affect and is only amplified by the way you did the shading in this piece. Both of these things work together to really make the viewers look at it to see what the median is. By making the viewer really work by thinking about the piece is a wonderful achievement.
Also the way you have the Horsea extending beyond the border you've created was a wonderful idea. Although a smaller version of this, where you can see the whole image, would generally be more accepted, i feel that this way only is more creative, and emphasizes the movement even more.
Overall, this is an incredible piece, that mimics traditional art, but is in fact digitally crafted. It has wonderful flowing lines, and a brilliant color choice. A creative take on the border as well as the point of focus, this is a well crafted work of art.
