Mostly its just a LOT of trial and error with the patterns. The ideas for plush patterns usually come from hours of sketching however Drawing really helps me get my ideas formed and plotted out to see if it may look good or not as a plush.
I'd suggest to just start with something you enjoy looking at, or some form that inspires you. The more you enjoy it, the more you will want to explore it and get better at making it <3

he is! I used minky fabrics and high quality faux fur so he's just a ball of soft.

mmm the more complex ones are kinda difficult XD if you start out with "flatter" plushies where you only sew like two or three pieces together to make a form its pretty easy. this guy had something like..64 pieces maybe? it can get crazy lol

Well, seaming can be a pain in the ass and embroidery has to work with the little holes between the stitches...XD.
