Description
This is a little illustration for the soul purpose of trying to create some more dramatically staged art. Most of my compositions are rather static and boring, so I decided to try a slightly more adventurous subject matter and setting. I had a little story in my head about a mild mannered accountant from the twenties traveling back in time to some barbaric age. He's imprisoned for whatever reason and sent to be executed in the gladiator ring. But he has a hand gun and ... ultimately with his knowledge of modern inventions, he becomes a powerful wizard. Nothing all that original. I really just wanted to draw one of those stereotypical stand off pictures only with a skinny guy and pistol vs some barbarians. Anyways, I got it out of my system, moving on to other things now. ;] This is watercolor and copic marker on bristol paper with a little bit of color correction in photoshop.
