Description
Been sometime since I did Balto stuff. Figured now that I'm not limited to markers, I can make redesigns and rewrites for Balto's pups to update my old guesses.
See what you think.
Dingo
Though he looks like a husky to the naked eye, he actually is the most wolf like of his siblings. He would cave into his impulses which made folks worry he was too dangerous. However his owner saw potential in him and had him trained to be a hunting dog to take down bears that come too close to town. Now that he had a new outlet Dingo was able to relax and be himself for once and not have to worry about his primal side. Dingo doesn't like to talk much and tends to be a loner, doesn't like sticking his nose into trouble unless he feels he must. However this sparked intrigue from Shyanne, a collie and fellow hunting dog next door.
Dakota
The self proclaimed fastest of the 6. He's arrogant and thinks he has an edge by having part wolf in him and his dad is the town hero in these parts. However his world comes crashing down when he loses the race for lead dog to a new female dog who nabs his place. He's sour about this and having to run behind someone. But this new dog, Amber is eager to teach him a lesson in humility and inform him that being a team player is more important than just being the fastest of them all. Slowly his ego is tamed.
Saba
A headstrong lead dog with a love for socks. Her team respects her except one for one dog.... Rex, Steele's son. He was sour about not getting her position and would go out of his way to sabotage Saba and her team to make her look bad. But Saba was no pushover and was willing to confront him about it. However she soon comes to realize there is more going on behind the scenes with Rex. He'd come to work beaten and scared. Saba figured out Steele was the one putting him up to all of this and was beating him. Saba then consulted this with her mother, since she was starting to have feelings for Rex and didn't know how to feel about it. But she knew Steele had to be stopped.
Aleu (rewrite)
Aleu was the first of the litter to be adopted because she looked like Balto. Ever since he saved the children, everyone wanted a dog just like him. While Aleu loved her boy, Kevin, she felt uneasy about his father, Richard. He was a hunter and always had the smell of death on him. He didn't like the fact she was part wolf and was waiting for her to turn one day. She stopped howling as much in the house after he struck her with a newspaper. But she loved Kevin, he'd always want to play with her and would let her eat the chicken nuggets off his clothes after his school had a food fight. However everything changed during a game of fetch. She got too excited and accidentally bit Kevin, thinking she was biting her toy. It was bad enough he needed stitches. She apologized over and over again, but no one could understand her. Richard came out with a gun and was going to shoot her until Kevin stopped it and shouted for her to run away. Aleu was in tears and stayed with her father scolding herself for being part wolf.
Then her father goes missing after getting these vivid dreams about wolves. Aleu volunteers to go after him where she faces challenges in the wild that challenge her dormant wolf instincts. She finds a pack who is dubbing Balto a possible nomination as alpha. Balto doesn't want the position, but Nava knows he's the son of Anui, the former alpha they had before he was chosen. Nava was getting too old and his pups had died. the Pack needed someone new and Nava saw dark days ahead if Niju took over. So Aleu stepped up to take her father's place and faced off Niju in a fight for Alpha.
Kodi
One of the youngest of the litter and was the slowest for the longest time till Balto told him how to run faster. Now he's a diligent mail delivery dog with a circle of friends who don't judge him or his heritage.
Yukon
The last to be born in the six. Yukon was a cautious and soft spoken pooch. He ended up becoming a service dog. Since Nome is a small down he's been involved with the fire station, rescue teams, even submitted as a support animal to civilians. His friends see him as dependable and a hard worker. But deep down he was tried. Then suddenly he found a stray dog who was stealing from the butcher. Upon some investigation he found out why this dog was stealing so much meat. The mysterious dog, Violet was bringing food to a trapped wolf pup just outside of town. Yukon knew he had to help and help fast.
