Touching. I lost my Mickey as he tore a tendon on some fence cows had knocked. Some people realy don't why losing a horse is so hard - but it really is.

I had to say bye to my best friend ever, he was a tennesee walking horse and he was about 35 and he couldnt eat anymore coz his teeth were so bad we couldnt float them or anything : ( I remember saying bye. I held his head when he went

I feel your loss..
My 18h 30+ year old thoroughbred cross gelding Drako died this summer. He coliced in a rainstorm, layed down in a puddle, and broke his leg struggling. My trainer, two other girls, and I got him up, but he was just too old for his leg to heal.

Ruby is constantly lame due to a rotation of her coffin bone....the bone which goes into a horses hoof.
this is called founder, and is an extremely painful condition.
no cure is known...only temporary treatments which only offer a bit of comfort.
My mother and I have been treating her for over two years...we had to say goodbye christmas eve.
