I know it sucks!Ok, now that that's out of the way XD This is a pretty quick drawing I did while avoiding an anth paper I have to do...google images with certain search terms and discuss what pops up using terms from class. Easy, but a pain
So I did this instead! Hurray for Briar and Whisper
They're always handy when i feel like drawing fluff ^^Also, I needed to practice profiles. I found a trick, now I just need to get it down XD
I do love that couch, lol.
Briar's head is too small in the second piece...I may color this and fix it as a birthday present for myself

Lol! Oh, I will definitely draw Niko anyways, but I might not draw him for you. I always feel a slight sense of dread when I draw a character I really like, because I want them to look right but I'm always scared I won't be able to get it right... Sigh. BUT NIKO OMG.

I dunno, it sucks! With girls, we have curves which makes it easier to get them on paper. guys don't, so they never look right when i try >.<

I know! But I think you're right about the curves thing. Because the temptation with guys is always to just make them completely straight/flat, but they're not, then you try to give them some shape and they just look like girls! ARGH.
BUT BUT BUT. I've been drawing lots of Niko for the past couple of days to try to work out his design (although I've been cheating and only drawing his head/face for now) and I think I've got it basically sorted 
So now I just need to work out a full body design, lol!
... And work out why almost every picture I draw of him looks unimpressed, grumpy or sad. Mostly unimpressed though.

EXACTLY. I end up cheating and putting them in loose clothes and just making their arms look buff. Then it's the best I can get for a guy, lol.

OMG I KNOW. I used to try to give them 'manly' shoulders too, but that was a fail. Ahahaha. A superhero me and a friend are designing got a crotch bulge, since he's wearing lycra or spandex or something, LOL.
I know! Now it's all like "NOOO, I can't work, I have to finish Niko!" though, which is a bit frustrating. When I get my scanner, I think I might put together a design sheet for him, you know, showing how I got to the final design. Maybe. I want it mainly for me, but I might post it to dA as well

It's always right then that class ends and you have to pack up and leave to >.> I bought a small sketchbook just for doodling in class so I don't get stuck with drawings on lined paper anymore, lol. And you should post it here! It's great fun later to go back and see all the improvements you've made
