Personality: If there’s one word that could describe Ami best, then that would be a social butterfly. Ami is a proud, happy-go-lucky and lively dog who loves to be where things are happening. While her small body and butterfly-like ears can give the wrong impression of her being a fragile, girly-girl, spoiled rat; Ami’s however tougher than she looks and is very affectionate and obedient to other humans and dogs she trust. While Ami’s curious to almost naive attitude, easy to learn and her high-intelligent mind helps her to get out of sticky situations, these are the same traits that also get Ami into tricky or sometimes dangerous situations. And because Ami so willing wants to do good deeds, she strives to be perfectly compassionate so much that she takes any flaw with herself to the extreme. While she sometimes pushes herself too hard to succeed, Ami do this to help and does the best she can to do so. (Even if her small size tells her otherwise)
Pre-Group History: Ami was born from a litter of pure Papillon puppies, her being the only puppy to be born with lemon and white coat color. Her parents were not show dogs, but the breeder aimed for pups that could be more than just lap dogs if the owner decides to give the dogs something to do.(Like agility or therapy work) At ten week of age, Ami was adopted by a young couple who she lived very happily with. However, before Ami reached her first birthday, the couple founds out one of them got pregnant and they fear that they might not have the money and time to keep Ami along with the baby. Refused to send Ami to an animal shelter, the couple called to the breeder on the phone and asked if they could send back Ami to her so she can find a new permeated home for the little girl. The breeder agreed and took her in. Then Ami’s owners leaved the kennel without her, she became confused and started to cry and scream, wanted to come home with them. While Ami’s parents tried to cheer up, she still was upset and contently asked herself: “Why did they left without me?”, “Did I do something horribly wrong?” “Does it mean nobody wants me anymore?” Lucky, a couple months later, after putting a photo of Ami on the kennels website; she found a possible new owner to Ami. A young single woman named Ylva who lives in a town known as Canidale. Ylva was looking for a dog as her first-time dog that could encourage her to walk outside everyday so she wouldn’t feel lonely while doing daily errands. Also because of Ylva was living in an apartment with a “Small Dog Only” policy, the dog needed to be small to follow the policy. After a couple of in-person meetings with the breeder and a lot of discussion, it was decided that Ami finally was going to have a new home. While Ami feels unsure about getting re-homed, she however does her best to keep herself positive and moving forward.

Other:
-Ami’s name is actually a French word for friend.
-Ami loves being brushed, but hates taking baths.
-Ami doesn’t like being reminded that she’s a “little dog”; she feels size is not an excuse no matter what it is.
-While sturdy for her size, Ami can still hurt herself easily. One bite and a shake from a bigger dog is enough to kill her…
