My sincerest regards for the loss of your beloved pet.
Know that I have not taken formal veterinary courses, however I believe my "diagnoses", more like an educated guess, should be heard to provide some kind of closure if you have not already. From the image that I can assume is a representation of what Adrenaline went through, I can best assume that he was suffering from exophthalmia caused by either pressure or a tumor. Since your veterinarian prescribed eye drops, it is more likely it is buphthalmia caused by glaucoma. The extra pressure may have put stress on the arteries of the brain leading from the eyes causing it to burst and, thus, causing inadequate tissue perfusion, I.E...a stroke.
Considering the situation, the eyedrops would have only slowed the degeneration of the eye. Adrenaline would still be blind for life. As for the stroke, I'm sorry, but there's no reliable way to predict when a stroke will occur at "x" moment. Adrenaline was just unfortunate enough to have his stroke before he could get help.
Sorry. I hope that this clears some stuff up and provides some closure. I used to have to pets. I don't anymore. So I know how you feel. Sorry.

It's most likely stress, as my rat Iceland experienced.. she'sdead
anyway, her eyes were a BIT bulgy, and that liquid stuff was leaking from her eyes and nose.(even though rats can pop their eyes out of their sockets, this was different)

It might have been. I wish I would have known long beforehand, so I could have done something about it, but with small pets it's hard to tell since they are "prey" animals.

Yea, it's hard.
If it were my cat, as said, it would have been easier(because he's a predator animal).

It's extremely Heart breaking when Animals Die.
My Dad had a dog ( can't remember his name) When He was little. He told me that he was wrestling with his brother and my Uncle pinned my dad and The Dog attack my uncle; It bit him on the arm. My grandpa had to take the dog out in the woods and shot it in the head.
I'm Sorry for your Carmen. *hugs*

Thats fucking DISGUSTING. what, was your grandfather fucking retarded? The dog was obviously acting to protect your father. ITS WHAT DOGS DO. So, just because a dog gets the wrong message, you take it and shoot it in the head? you bring death to a poor animal that was just trying to protect its owner? DISGUSTING AND HORRIBLE. Fucking animal abuse as well.
Dog doesnt know better and then gets shot in the head.
kid doesn't know better, gets told not to do something and sit in a corner.
What a world we have.

My dad were in the room, Me and My mom were taking a bath. And like 5 Minutes later. My dad shouted out "Amp! May! Come in to the room! Quick!" We both ran into the room after done taking a bath. And i saw is, Chewas. Who shocked and wasn't moving. and this is her lastest moment with me. She died in my dad's eyes. She died with a painful death.
Rest in peace Chewas.

Your story is actually somewhat similar to when I found out that Stamps, my rabbit that lasted the longest, died.
It was a winter night, last year. I was going outside to feed my rabbit, Stamps. (We had three rabbits, Cowbunny, Cinnamon, and Stamps. Cowbunny died first, the Cinnamon, then Stamps.) I got her carrots out of my garage refrigerator. When I went outside and went to her cage, she wasn't out in the open parts of her cage., as she'd usually be. There was also a small hidind box inside the cage also., and I thought she was in there, hiding. So, i peered inside.(The bunny cage is big by the way. You can actually go inside!!! XDD) I found out that she was iside, but dead. I was sad, yet proud of her because she lived the longest. I told my mom and her ex-boyfriend took the bunny corpse out of the cage the next day. End of story. (We had a huge history of pets. One time, we had a pet snake named Arnold. One day, he wasn't in his cage. Get this, he escaped from the cage, and we never saw him again.)

That's how it was with my three rabbits. Cookie, Violet, then adrenaline....
and that part about big cages... I know that feeling. I could fit inside their cage.. of course, I'd have to be squatting down... but I could still move around. That's how I had to clean it.
..
Snakes are freaking cool.
..
Sorry to hear about all of that though D:

In my bunny cage, I'd like have to duck a little bit because there were nails in the top of the roof. I'm sorry about yer rabbit though. *hugs* I also used to have a turtle. He was mean. And because of that, we sent him out in the wild. Arnold was a nice snake also. 833

I'm so sorry about your rabbit :c
A few years ago, I had a gerbil named Honey-Bunny. She was really sweet and you could pick her up at any time, even when she was sleeping, and she wouldn't mind at all. If we took her out of her cage for a run around on the sofa, she wouldn't even try to jump off, even though our sofa is really low to the ground, which was amazing to all of us because all of our other gerbils had jumped off.
We thought that, because she was so sweet and always had a happy time with us, that she'd never get hurt. We were wrong. One night, when me and my parents were watching a movie, my dad asked me to go up and tell my sister to stop playing loud music. Once I was upstairs she'd turned it down and said sorry, so, since Honey's cage was in her room I went over to check on her, as usual. When I looked in, I couldn't see her anywhere, so I thought right away that she'd escaped through somewhere. Me and my sister spent 20 minutes looking all around the room to see if she was hiding somewhere, but she wasn't. After we gave up and checked her cage, we saw her hidden behind one of her toys, shaking, and, instead of having a fluffy tail like gerbils usually do, half of it was BONE and BLOOD.
We called my parents up and they called the emergency vet, and they told us to bring her over, so my dad and my sister stayed home and me and my mum took her to the vet. Once we got there, we had to wait in a room for a few minutes before they brought us in and told us that she'd have to stay overnight for surgery to take off the bone. I was heartbroken, but I'd seen my other pets sick before, so I wasn't too sad at school the next day.
When I got home, Honey was back and my mum was holding her. She seemed okay and her tail was better, but you could see where they'd stitched it up. For the next few weeks I wasn't worried about her at all, I thought that animals were only sick once and then they got better. I was wrong again.
A month later, Honey wasn't eating her food and she wasn't digging, so I got worried about her again. I went to school a bit worried, and came home to find my parents holding her carrier. I looked inside and saw her, dead. D': Apparently she died from a common disease, but that didn't make me feel any better. She was only a baby.

i'm sorry this happened
I remember when I was 7 my parents saw that I got very good grades and so did my sister so they gave us a gift which was that I got a cute little hamster and my sister got a little rat
I named my hamster after the one in the movie Bolt which was Rhino and the rat was named Pammy
anyways so one day we let Rhino run around the house in his hamster ball and let Pammy run around the house with no ball and the same time and then,
they went under the couch out of reach and we heard then fighting and we tried everything we could to stop them but then it was too late, my hamster was DEAD and when Pammy finally got outside she had blood written on her she wasn't bleeding but she had blood on her teeth and near her mouth
and then we put her in her cage and called a plumber to reach Rhino so it wouldn't stink and then when the guy arrived we saw that Rhino had a big bloody scar across her face bleeding and too much blood
I swear to god when that all happened I cried
later when we got the body the plumber guy left and we found a box so we placed Rhino in the box and we all wrote a note to her and then we put some green heart shaped bead with the body because she would keep playing with it and it was so cute and then we put food with it and then the moment came when we closed the box and dug a hole in the back yard and berried her
a week later after that when I went to school I was thinking in my head about Rhino's spirit following me everywhere I go
then one day my sister's friend came over here and she had an app on her phone where you track ghosts and talk to them and we found me hamster (even though the app could have been fake) I asked her "do you remember me?" and she did
I forgot to ask her if she follows me or not but then she talked about her death by the words "bleeding, pain," and others I don't remember
an then since my parents knew how much I loved and missed my little hamster they decided to get me a new one
I swore I was so happy
when we went to PetCo and we got a brown male because the other one that was female looking EXACLY like the one I had was said that it was too wild
but then we found one that was not too calm and not to wild just like Rhino and you know what I named him, Rhino
and he reminded me so much of the other Rhino that I thought that we just dyed his fur brown (even though I didn't know that there was hair dye safe for animals) and then later on in my child hood Pammy got a big spot that grew bigger and bigger then died of old age and then Rhino dyed of old age and then all we had left was our two dogs and our huge and cute guinea pig Cuddles and then 3 years later Cuddles had a big rash and it was turning into a big red pimple then he died of old age
but I was happy that each of my pets I have had in the past are resting in peace and can live happy in heaven
but I am also happy they lived a happy life on the planet too
ever since then I still can't get rid of those old photos I have of those pets from 2009 or 8 (I still have them)

That's a sad but still sweet story. Seeing animals in any kind of pain always makes me want to cry whether I do or not.
I'm so sorry to hear what happened to those two. Hamsters and rats are really good pets. My sister had a hamster before when both of us were really little, and when I was in third grade I had a little black and white fancy rat named Rabies. He would always sit on my shoulder and clean himself and lick my ear and fall asleep whenever I was on my old computer making old, horrible cliche wolf animations on my old youtube account. xD
..
For my rabbit my family and I had gotten a large plastic container... and I mean a large one, since that rabbit was 2 and half or 3 feet long.... He was huge. We wrapped him up in these white sheets and stuck him in the plastic bin with the lid on before burying him.
...
The new hamsters you had seem really cute and sweet. It's still sad they died of old age, but all animal death is going to be sad. Death by old age is always the nicest, though. They got to live a full happy life being surrounded by people who loved them. It's sad, but not as sad when they go, since it is their natural time.
^^

yeah I remember when I got Cuddles when he was so tiny <3
and he grew really big and I remember sense he cage was close to the fridge when ever the fridge opened he would start talking
and once when my sister's friend was over at our house Cuddles would just cuddle with everyone
that's why his name was Cuddles because he would just be a love to everyone
only you don't place your finger in front on his mouth
he will think its a carrot
and I remember the color patterns on his fur made him look like he had all those coffees you get at Starbucks
and my 1rst Rhino I remember when we first got her the 2nd day we had her I remember she would either sit on my lap sleeping while I was on my old computer either watching youtube videos or making my own videos with the recorder that came with my laptop
but our first pet we had when I was in Pre-school was a yellow cat with stripes named Littlebit but when I was still little I didn't understand why we got rid of him but sense I was little I had no idea I was really hurting the poor thing ;-;
but today I had two happy kittens and one happy dog living in my house right now

Rats are really smart. When I had mine I taught him like... three tricks. xD
Three tricks is the most tricks I've taught any animal. That was an accomplishment for me. xD
I remember my old rat. When I first got him he could fit in my hand, but years went by and that little rodent got big for his size. I always loved having him on my shoulder because he was clean himself, try to clean me xD, and he would fall asleep or stalk what I was doing.
...
Rabbits from my experience are like cats. They're cute and sweet and smart, but they're jerks. But despite them being conniving little beasts, you love them anyway, and they love you. ^^

RedKkPuppy In reply to WhatTheFlup [2014-04-22 03:28:58 +0000 UTC]
Ah I know, they are very smart ;u;
Nynx was a therapy rat so I taught him about 6 tricks, the others I didn't really consider tricks, but just common sense for a rat.
My youngest, Patch (just turned three months recently) fit perfectly in the palm of my hand, and he has quickly outgrown it like Stitch has. Before Nynx, I never knew how big they could get XD
Ah, so rabbits are a rebel breed, huh? X3 Sounds adorable!
Wish I could get a bunny but I just don't know how I would manage, they seem like a pretty high maintenance type. But my friend (also my little hacker XD) used to have a rabbit, had to give him away though. Still heard a lot of stories before that though, and I would love to try getting one some day~
