Why thanks! And again, elucidate your thoughts on the Silouan quote for me.

Ah--so sorry. Forgot you asked about that over at The Cartographers' Guild.

I read this quote as instructing everyone to see our world as it truly is--a place of eventual death for even the most beautiful, wonderful things--and likewise see ourselves as we truly are--misguided, poorly-endowed and foolish sinners despite all our natural gifts. And yet, do not despair in this all-encompassing, hellish knowledge, for God is good and loves us even though we are filth covered in filth. He experienced the worst with us (including torture and death), and overcame it--which is a comforting thought.

I hope that wasn't too long and preachy, West. I probably should have just directed you to Silhouan's writings: he was a great saint of the Orthodox Church who LIVED the advice, whereas I just stuck it in my signature line.

Take care, and keep up the great mapping/art!

All my friends who've been are speaking ill of it, apparently no longer the glory it once was...
