This is a beautiful piece of art work. I disagree with the fact that there is unused space. To me, the bottom of the picture is the only way you can tell that the watch is broken. I looked at it several ways myself and finally decided that I would not have known the watch had been broken. I think the watch has stopped on the time. It is a beautiful old watch that has been ripped from someone's hand or has been found in someone's old box in their closet. I love this work. Thank you for sharing it with us.

You are welcome. I think its important if you have such an opposite view of a photo or painting, that you explain your own "view" of such. I have a learning disability so my eye is so different most of the time. But I studied your photo, and couldn't see it any other way. But its always a personal but professional opinion.

I love clocks and watches, and I instantly fell in love with this piece.
I enjoy the fact that the focus is only on the upper characters, and the 5 6 7 8 9 are unreadable. The broken chain is another part to this amazing photo.
I think the background is lacking just a bit, and the top and bottom should be just a little darker to give the negative space some attention.
The hands of the clock should be in the photograph's focus. The dial and the 12 seem to be the focus, which is outstanding in of itself.
All in all, a beautifully crafted photo, but the negative space seems to be lacking just a bit.

I'm glad you noticed the broken chain. It actually isn't broken but I've tried to make it look like that by using glass beads.

The is really amazing. I love how you used an old pcket watch and put in a lot of gold but had different types or shades of the gold so that its not constant or too much. This really cool.
