Very nice! Love the contrasts of this picture! And the frames really add to the composition.
Just curious, what's alphacolour?

Thanks so much! Alphacolor is a type of charcoal, it comes in about 3 inch individual square drawing sticks. It's very very very easily blended into solid black. I use it a lot for pure black areas. The only down side is it smudges very easily so it's best to use it toward the end of a piece before you spray your work.

No problem
And thanks for tell me what that is, it's always interesting to hear about new tools that other artists use for their drawings

Thanks!

I use a lot of different shades of paper ranging from white to dark grey, it really depends on what tone you're looking for! This piece I used a lighter grey. I would definitely recommend starting with a light/medium grey. Personally I've always liked using Strathmore materials, that's what I was introduced to in college and have stuck with it since then.
