Description A shot taken in Madrid. To me, streets in large cities oftentimes seem to flow the way a concerto does. Different lines are moving in counterpoint, various elements are swelling into a crescendo, all while remaining part of a larger scene. The comparision of visual art to music, of course, isn't new...it's no coincidence that we speak of such things as "movement" and "composition" in both. Or at least that's the way I view it....

In any case, I hope you like the photo, and thoughts or comments are always welcome.

The title is well chosen, nice one. European streets always appeal to me. With this one, I like how the street starts to veer left. NIce, .

This picture is a celebration of many things..

Lines and distance, time and space, technology and architecture.....

I thank you for it

I just have one question, though: Why is this not a print?!

Hmm...don't know why, guess I never thought there'd be a lot of demand for this one

Thank you for the kind comment

Wonderful sense of depth and I love the black and white. The light spilling over the building looks lovely.

Looks little bit unreal place to me. Wide angle lens that you have used in this gives more free visible space to this and makes all those buildings look even more massive. And yes, like some another already commented, there are some kind of sadness in this. Good photo from your travels.

What a fine composition this is, all the elements of an aria, a concerto..the words and music both..contained in this wonderful image of tones and light, lines and depth. Excellent photography!

Wow this is beautiful, the b/w scheme really adds a kind of sadness, and it would've almost looked unreal but the people add a sense of completion. Lovely !
