Yanno, that's exactly what I thought when I altered the color. I loved that it naturally looked aged. Thank ya man!

I love mist and fog - it can both eerie and magical. This seems to hover between the two. Can't quite decipher the title: I wonder does it refer to what is required at this moment, or to a growing sense of isolation? About this time last year I captured a few shots in the garden, but nothing like this...

Thanks man! In my mind the title was always the latter of your choices but now, as I view the image again, I'm thinking that it is actually both. All that is needed at this moment is the isolation
You have some really nice shots from your garden. I really like how you've divided everything into seasons!

Thanks for that - it was a project I set myself to get familiar with the new camera. Unless I indulge in a professional data recovery service, that's all that remains of a year's worth of photographs

I try to backup my photos every month on DVD just in case something bad happens to my hard drive. I'd probably be suicidal if I lost all my photos. Did the drive just crap out? Can you hook it up as a secondary drive and recover any of the data?

IDeviant In reply to weeja [2006-04-22 06:32:55 +0000 UTC]

I thought it was my old motherboard gone as the old PC just wouldn't boot. Then I attached it as a second drive on the new PC: it was read as a 2GB drive, despite being 40GB! And, although listed as three-quarters full, no data were readable. Tried all possible jumper settings, even got a USB/IDE adaptor so I could attach it externally. Still no dice. 2 freeware data recovery utilities failed to recover anything meaningful. I must now decide, at my leisure, whether to indulge in a professional data recovery service, but they seem to be extremely expensive...

I can see how this would be a mind numbing dilemma. I guess the good thing is that you can always keep the hard drive around for when you do want (or can afford) to recover these items. Good luck my friend!

I completely agree with MicrophoneMistress about the title, its perfect....but I really think your titles in general always complete the piece, finish the story

I usually assume that my titles are too personal for many to grasp but there are a few of you that are in tune with the images as I am. Thank you Michelle!
