The girls are thirteen years old. When they were born, their creator, Professor Utonium, tried to save all three girls. So he gave away the girls to families that looked closely like them. The Professor's whereabouts are unknown.

Years later, Blossom, known as Amiee, lives with her stepmother and dad in New Townsville. Buttercup, Sam, lives with her aunt and goes to the same school as Blossom. The difference, they aren't in the same class. Bubbles goes to a school outside the city, in Cityville. Bubbles, named Kathy, lives with her older brother, older twin sisters, and her mom.

They have their powers all the time, even when they aren't going superhero. They get in their super hero clothes by simply spinning. They don't have time for a 2 minute transformation. Someone out there is in trouble!!
