Nice picture.
Conan is a character I've always had difficulty relating to. True he's a brave fighter and an iconic fighter who's gone against some pretty nasty villains. But he's also a womanising and violent person who would never be considered a good role model. I eman he participated in a massacre when he was 16.
Not to bash Robert E Howard of course. His books are still good.
Your picture perfectly captures the violent nature of the character.

I'm not sure they had much use for 'role models' in Hyperborea!
But seriously, although we are talking about fiction, you couldn't judge someone from an ancient and warlike culture by whether they went to church on sunday, put out the neighbour's trash, or didn't steal some stationary from work. When you find yourself 'unable to relate' - consider the circumstances that inform behaviour. It's easy to say we'd be any different from afar.

I'd have to admit, though, that i've never read Howard (on Conan, that is) so i based my concept to the new actor portraying him, as it is publicly accepted that he feels more like how Howard had envisioned him, than Arnold...
