After being absent so long, I am proud to present deviantART with this: My latest massive piece of work.This is essentially a re-do of this: [link] My high priest from Ragnarok Online.
All in all this took about 2 weeks, was over 130 layers, and is 2550x3300 pixels. (Why I made it that massive, I will never know. ._.; ) This has become one of the most time-consuming and labor intensive projects to this date, and I am obscenely proud of it (I say this with a sadness, because I know I will look at this in a month and be disgusted at all of its defects and faults).

Holy shit and a half, that full size is ENORMOUS. That size, paired with 100+ layers and what I'd imagine were dozens of textures, must've been so frustrating to work with. My computer (and patience hnngh) would've died halfway through.
Fantastic work on this picture anyways, I definitely think that your hard work paid off. It's a very simple scene, yet there's so much to look at. All the different textures, details, and accents of light are pleasing to the eyes. Her hair is absolutely gorgeous. You gave it a lot of "light attention", yet at the same time kept it looking full and realistic. Often times when I see people add deep lighting to hair, it ends up looking plastic or too anime-ish. The same applies to her eyes! My favorite part of this picture is deeeefinitely the staff though, oh my god. For some reason my attention keeps going to that thing... I think it's the gradient you used for it, and the depth it has. Very nice!
(Actually my favorite part is her ribbons. Ffff but that comes as no surprise coming from ME, huh? :'D)
The only critique I could offer this piece would be her leg, which looks to be a bit too thick around the knee area. Aside from that though, you definitely did a great job on this one. Sit yourself down, give yourself a pat on the back, you deserve it.

Oh come now Ribbon, don't give me that. XD I've seen your reference pictures. I don't know how you ever managed to do those entire things. Massive pictures are kinda fun to work with though. When I'm zoomed out to 25%, someone may come along and ask "Wow, that's not very big..." And its wonderful to see their face when you zoom in to 100%. XD
Thank you so much! I'm glad the hair came out the way that it did (I always have such a hard time with it). The staff is actually from the MMORPG that this character is from: ([link] to be precise.) so I suppose I just got lucky with the gradient thing.

Yeaaah. XD; I was seriously having a major struggle with the leg. I knew I wanted her to kinda be walking forward, but it was such an odd angle to work with. I'll be sure to watch my leg anatomy later on.
