This one is my ap art teachers favorite. I also quite like it. It's Tarou...
Everyone thought this was a self portrait of me... but it's not... o_O
Used: Acrylics, and charcoal.

I really like the thin layers of paint you used on the areas where the shirt shows through, and the intensity of the colors towards the bottom of the piece. ^_^ (Acrylics can be such a pain to work with- they dry in two seconds! but you're really good at it!)

You're very welcome! ^_^ That's awesome that you like acrylics... They're a challenge. I find them a pain, really hard to blend with. (I'm going over some of my old acrylic paintings with oils- the effect you get in the end is really nice~)

I love how they don't blend in together, unlike watercolors those are a bit more difficult for me, I rarely use watercolor unless i'm using the drip effect on paingings. Oils? That sounds nice~ I should try it out sometime.

Yeup~ I would, all I need is to buy iols, and borrow more acrylics from my art class. Hehe, I'm in the drawing mood, so I shall have one up soon. I don't mind at all. x3

ACRYLICS YAY...
did you do a base layer of paint then charcoal and then the bottom thickness? cuz i have no idea how to mix charcoal and acrylic in a piece. i cant wait for my AP art class D:

Actually it was a pencil sketch on the bottom, I put the acrylics over then wen't over the faded image with charcoal.
