The blue and red are my friend's favorite colors, I just went with that as a partial color scheme. I don't own and can't afford a tablet, so it's the mouse for me

My 'skillz' aren't all that impressive...I could seasily how you how I do this stuff. What you would have to 'steal' is my patience and artistic instinct for composition, which are the only real gifts that I have.

Woah. The texture you gave those scales, the way it radiates out from the center, makes them look really three-dimensional despite their thick cartooney outlines. It's a really neat contrast! First thing to grab my attention when I loaded the image.

Wonderful work on the whole thing. I also like how the dragon's coloration contrasts with the reds of the backdrop. The life in its eye is a fabulous touch, too.

Thanks! This was a fun one to do. I used simple hard shading on some parts, smudge blending on others, different opacity on brushes and erasers and a texture brush I made for the wings flight-webbing
