The way to use the paint for ceramics are kind of similar to using watercolor; although they're different
After painting it, the store people will help you glazing it and then put the mug into the kiln and fire it, so the glaze will stay on the mug, and the paint won't come off

This was just the watercolor style, the paint for doing ceramics painting is kind of similar to watercolor(((I mean the way you use it))); however, they' re different

Oh, well, even just the style is impressive. I bet it was hard to paint on a mug, since it's, um, a cylinder. And don't worry, I'm sure your friend will love it!
