alright so i worked on this drawing for approximately five hours last week,,,as you can see i am not used to drawing the entire mane six in one go, but i will admit that it was a lot of fun!
these are my design headcanons for the main six, such as markings and heights n stuff. they haven't changed much cause i love all the canon girls but this is all just for fun!

twilight was a unicorn of average height, and becoming an alicorn boosted her up but only a teensy little bit. she's still no where near the tallest. most of the fault in that goes in her little stubby legs, but what she lacks in goddess like height, she makes up for in her magic. what im saying is she's got a pretty big horn. the more powerful a unicorn is, the longer their horn is, and she wears her horn proudly, because she will always be her unicorn self at heart. but that is not to say she doesn't enjoy having wings! her wings are broad and pretty stumpy, so learning how to use them was difficult, but once she got the hang of it and learned to use them for gliding, she finally got comfortable with them and likes taking gentle flying sessions to relieve stress. also becoming an alicorn supplied her with just a twinge of rainbow power magic, so yellow was added to her mane, along with dozens of sparkles. she hardly pays attention to it, but she loves the compliments she gets.

fluttershy is the second tallest gorl, but she doesn't like being a towering pony at all. her legs are too long and spindly, and her wings are far too big...she's a pony who never really grew comfortably in her own body. she likes growing out her mane and tail to incredible lengths mostly to make herself feel smaller, but they also come in handy as warmth for herself and her animals. her wing span is pretty large, as they were meant for catching air and gliding, but seeing as she rarley flies, she uses her wings for various other things, including shelter for animals.

rainbow dash is the average height for a pegasus, whereas she'd rather be taller, but her awesome wings make up for it. they're broad and catch air quickly; not to mention the lovely colors of the feathers that she flaunts everywhere. she IS rowdy, so she indirectly looses feathers, and everyone knows whose they are, that's for sure. she has considered cutting her mane/tail short, as it would make flying stunts easier, but hey, the more rainbow the better. also the hair makes her speed trails MUCH cooler.

pinkie pie is the second shortest, with stubby legs and a little more meat on her bones. she never has to worry about eating too much, though, cause her hyperactivity and speed burns off those calories pretty damn fast. while an earth pony, pinkie does have pegasi like traits, such as walking on clouds and being able to sustain herself in midair after a large bOing. this is due to a pegasus family member, whose genes must've skipped her parents and sisters, as they lack any sign of being half pegasus. pinkie's physical pegasus trait is the light feathering on her chest, front legs and face.

APPLEJACK IS A BIG GORL. i wasnt always a fan of huge buff applejack, but i feel like it makes a bit sense, taking into account all that bucking and farm work. she's tall and STRONG but she's definitely still super soft and is a total mom friend. her legs are incredibly strong, and her mane and tail, while suspended by ponytails, still manage to get drug in the dirt. unlike fluttershy, it kinda ticks her off but she has never gotten around to cutting her hair. and her hat is a handmedown from her father, so it hardly ever leaves her head.

rarity is the shortest of the bunch. she's rather petite and curvy, but she makes up for it in her FABULOUS hair. beauty is important to her, and keeping her feltlocks long is all part of the ideal unicorn aesthetic. while she's small, she doesn't see it as a bad thing, in fact, she sees it as a way to tell other ponies that is doesn't matter your body type because everypony is beautiful.
