Can't say it's that well-executed, but thanks anyway.

We need more ad's like this in the states, but unfortunately too many people think that showing pictures of condoms and promoting safe sex is bad.

And i thought next to Holland and France, the US was the most liberal country in the world.

Why in the world did it take so long to be executed as an ad???

When i first came up with it, all it was was a thumbnail. The only thing i knew about Photoshop then was how to open the program (double-click). Totally forgot about it until i joined Deviant Art.

Thanks. Wasn't 100% sure I'd get the message across when I did this. Just glad the concept "floats" (pun intended).

Lucky for me, hindsight came a little early for this ad.
The original headline was "Saves lives." (in a general pluralistic connotation) and "This too." or "So does this."
Looking at the ad one more time before finalization, i saw in my mind ONE man floating in the life preserver. My eyes immediately switched to the rubber and my not so-immaculate brain downloaded images of a porn clip i was watching the previous day.
So, from the general, i went with the specific and have been thanking naughtyamerica.com ever since.

Thanks. Really surprised that more people seem to like this than the "Ribbon" ad.

Thought of that, but didn't want to risk complicating the message. Thanks.

Had fun doing it. Having a serious subject doesn't mean "not being allowed" to inject some humor, as long as the treatment's relevant.
Was it Ogilvy or Caples who said, "Nobody buys from a clown." Whoever it was, he was dead wrong about humor having no place in advertising.

Thanks! That's why I love advertising, work doesn't seem like work as long as you enjoy what you're doing.
