This was done as a protest on how Brian Michael Bendis has been portraying Rocket Raccoon in the first 3 issues of the newly revived Guardians of the Galaxy comic books by Marvel Comics. Me and many fans didn't understand what was going through Rocket's head lately. Instead of being the nice guy heroic gun slinging raccoon that we all knew from both his creator Bill Mantlo and later from the Guardian's last comic from DnA, Rocket came out as a crazed psychopath. There may be hope that Rocket is already getting better after reading issue #4 of The Guardians of the Galaxy so I'm sticking with the comic for now.This is a story to go with this drawing:
After it has been found out that Rocket Raccoon has totally lost his mind his friend, and former enemy, Blackjack O'Hare brought Rocket back to his home world, Halfworld, which is used to treat the mentally ill, and cure Rocket of Bendisitis! Both Blackjack, Lylla, and the rest of his friends want to bring Rocket back from his state of insanity. But I do have faith that he will recover!

I'm not sure if my Lylla fan-friend has seen this but I found this through google images. This is the first time I've seen your work and I love the effort you put into this and inside joke fashion. Nice work and I like your take on the characters.

Yeah well, I didn't like how Bendis was portraying Rocket at the time, it was too extreme and over the top, he turned Rocket into a raging monster. I decided to respond to the insanity of the situation through this comic.

My friend was showing me snippets of his destruction at Marvel. People are worried over what Bendis is going to do at D.C.

And to think that Rocket used to look after the "Loonies". He became a "Loonie" himself. Looks like it's back to Halfworld, Ranger Rocket.

True, but i find Young's stories to be fun though. Anyway, they may revamp Rocket again after the Secret Wars story. Im not sure what to expect.

I couldn't agree more. Rocket is not supposed to be a psychopath. Psychopaths are never the good guys.
It's not only Bendis. A scene with Rocket that I hate the most is Nova Vol. 5 - Issue 2 [2013], first few pages. Rocket is called 'a talking raccoon' by a 14 year old Sam (young Nova), who can't even suspect that Rocket would take offense. And how should anyone know? Why can't we call Rocket Racoon a racoon? Bad joke! But as a response, Rocket pulls his gun and would have blasted the poor kid to pieces if Gamora hadn't held him back. And who is the writer of this abomination? Not even Bendis, the guy is called Jeph Loeb. Marvel, please fire them both! You're killing Rocket's personality.
Only two people in the world really respect Rocket: his creator Bill Mantlo and Guardians movie director James Gunn, who put Rocket's quirks in an acceptable context.

You're right, Jeph Loeb was even worse than Bendis, the only good thing is he didn't get to write Rocket all that much, but that scene was the worst for me to see. I hate it so much that I like to pretend it never happened. I love Rocket Raccoon and I see him as an intelligent fighter, pilot, and leader. I'm happy that the "Murdered You" stuff died down, it was crazy.

Marvel is changing a lot of their comics, which may or may not be a good thing. I'm not sure how to take some of them, like Superior Spider-Man, where Doc Ock is Spider-Man. It's.... different, for sure. Who knows, not to burst your bubble, but Rocket will probably stay like that, much like Doc Ock is still Spider-Man. I was hoping they'd bring Peter back somehow. :/
