I've been swimming a lot lately, trying to build some confidence for my second attempt at getting my lifeguard certification. Every time I do go swim, I'm reminded why I used to love it as much as I did as a kid; I love the way the water embraces you, warm and cool, mysterious and familiar. I love the way the water moves, how the light ripples. I feel graceful and strong. I feel at home.My favorite spot used to be the very bottom of the deep end; I'd curl up in the corner all cozy until I had to go back up for air. My breath hold isn't what it used to be, but just remembering how it looked and felt down there is enough to make me smile. But then...ummm...I think about how I must've stressed out a lot of lifeguards, and my smile looks more like this:

I must admit, I used to do this same thing as a kid-teen, go underwater as a happy place, I'm glad I wasn't the only one. But usually, I'd just curl into a ball, hold my breath, and float to the surface like a flotation device and my back would pop above water and people would just stare at me funny 
My back would be exposed at the top of the water while the rest of me was beneath the water and I was still curled into a ball with a serene look on my face as I held my breath and thought of inspiration for stuffs or just got lost in thought.
Being in an underwater pool place that are more private and aren't as crowded are my favorite places <3

Yes, I guess it would be considered turtle floating to the surface and just still curled into a ball x3 <3 Makes me happyyyy~<3 hee heeee<3
I should really retake the mystery dungeon quiz and see which pokemon starter I would be. Makes me curious. It said I was a Cyndaquil Originally if I remember correctly... hmn. It would be amusing if I turned out to be a Squirtle

bahaha, def would of scared a lot of life guards especially if you hold your breath for a long time under the water, but such a lovely piece!! Feels the serenityΒ

XDXD Thank you. I've been feeling very inspired by all the swimming I've been doing. Like, I've noticed how whenever I put my hand in for a stroke, there's these beautiful silver bubbles that trail by. Water is so magical~

I just meant for hanging out at the bottom corner of the deep end of the pool, but I don't see why those can't be standard lifeguard equipment either

Aww yeah, swimming's the best! Though my enjoyment in it was a little more chaotic. I used to jump around in my grandparents pools so much is would look like an ocean in the middle of a hurricane. Now if I get the chance to swim I tend to just float around. Ahh good times, good times.

Haha, floating is nice. The other day while I was still sore from my last swim, I alternated swimming laps with just easy floating. So nice~
