Just a quickie picture… I drew this after watching ‘Where The Wild Things Are’, I rather liked the movie

I think this picture is so adorable! The way the trees are drawn gives it a childrens story feel, but they don't look tacky with the textures in the foreground. The snow and neatral colors also add to the mood of the picture.
I find it emotionally impacting because the little boy looks so sad I just wish I could hug him! Perhaps he fell down and hurt himself, but I'm getting the impression they're possibly saying goodbye to eachother? Or perhaps he's lost hope? His eyes say he's in emotional pain. Luckily his monster friend is there to comfort him which adds a heartwarming feel.
