Here's something that took me quite a while to do. I've been trying to work on technique in PS when coloring, especially with hair, and this definitely posed a challenge. At first, I tried and gave up. Then months later I decided to bite the bullet and go for it. You can't get anywhere unless you practice darn it!

I did not know anything about Jem (don't hurt me), but I wanted to turn Stormer into a diva but keep that colorful flare she exudes. Not sure how that worked out >_<. I still had fun trying to do the hair and playing with different textures. I'm super happy with the plant in her hair and the little ruffle on the back. And I found out something. I'm terrified of shadows. Especially creating hard shadows. I had made some, but chickened out at the end and deleted that entire layer. I thought....this is just too much. I'm a shadow wimp. Now I know and I can work on it later. Also, the background....eh...I had not an idea about how to do that sucker. I just went with best I could.

Well, here's to practicing. I learned a lot here. I hope to learn even more when I color something the next time.
