Description Loooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo *gasp* ooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooonnnnng overdue art trade with the oober talented

I kept starting things for her, then scrapping them because they just didn't seem to have that hint of magic that Ginn manages to put in each of her drawings. I finally came up with an idea that I was satisfied with...sparkly fungi fountain. Her character, Nuba, takes advantage of the cool water as it trickles from the canopy above. That's the spot!

Well, that´s another great idea that´ll have hard time coming true for public use. I´m actually used to you coming up with original or simply hilarious ideas for your pictures. I could get used to something more from you magical as this is. Very enchanting!

I was writing a scene today that involves a wolf pack for my Asian comic, and pulled up some old name files for the scene. And there was "Nuba" (along with like, 50 other wolf names, but still). I guess it's not too much of surprise given the meaning, but woah. After all the other wolves grabbed the other names, it looks like all that's left for Nuba is a female role. Oh my, the cross-dressing mental image is something to behold.

Oh yes! You know he'll love donning stilettos and a pink ruffle skirt.
pffffffff.
I forget putting his name in for a cameo, but go ahead!

wadifahtook In reply to Ginnunga [2010-12-13 01:08:18 +0000 UTC]

Oh, sorry, no cameo. XD I have these files full of various Asian names divided by region and in some cases, species, to choose from as I write characters and scenes. Apparently Nuba was one of the names I had picked out for the "Tibetan/Nepal wolf pack" name file. It looks like the last wolf to name is a female, and the mental image of your character meeting a female Nuba amuses me deeply in my sleep-deprived state. I know, I know, I am easily amused.

BUMMER. A cross-dressing Nuba would be hysterical.

Oh, believe me, I'm easily amused, as well! I still find the russian rickroll, (TROLOLOLO) deeply humorous, and I must have seen it like 1897897539874589749857 times by now.

I do tooooo. But, I find organic perspective slightly easier to pull off at least in a partially, where as I can't do anything with a building. D:

God I don't know. I need sleep. I've been up since a Bad Religion concert we went to last night. It's now noon. I'm glad you appreciate my sleep-deprived art though. XD

PS. Bad Religion, you are awesome. Utah, please learn what a mosh pit is.

omg you're still awake? XD I've never been able to stay awake after a concert, I once fell asleep on the bus ride home I was so tired.
Were you guys in the mosh pit? omg I've been to plenty of concerts, but never never never am I ever going to be in a mosh pit XD

wadifahtook In reply to KiRAWRa [2010-11-14 20:37:50 +0000 UTC]

I know, right? Usually I'd be getting the best sleep of my life after swallowing ten gallons of sweat from whatever tall, sweaty guy happens to be in front of me (I swear, happens just about every concert), and dropping about ten buckets of sweat myself. But the crowd was so tame tonight (seems to be a common problem in this state), and people were giving the evil eye if you so much as nodded your head. It was like, what do you think the balconies are for people? Do you see how they are standing up there not moving? Do you see how you are next to the mosh pit? The only time I seem to genuinely get pissed off in life is when people don't follow basic concert etiquette. Kil does too though. I've seen him calmly break up drunken fights between guys about five times as big as him twice now. It's a thing of beauty.

It totally depends on the concert. There are some bands I won't go ten feet near the pit. Too many broken noses come out, blood and vomit all over...not my thing. I was expecting a much more active crowd for Bad Religion, but it wasn't so much a mosh pit as it was a...slightly-boisterous-circle. Trust me, you totally could have handled it. Heck, I think the lead singer would have been just fine in there, and he was talking all night about how old he's getting. XD

I'm rambling. Alright, I am going to lay down and see if sleep happens. I'd draw you a funny sleep-deprived doodle before I get my sanity back, but I can no longer find that muro button thing to draw in comments. That sucks. :/

"slightly boisterous circle" XDD
Wow I don't think I've ever seen a mosh pit that wasn't actively throwing people in the air or attempting to bounce condoms around like balloons (guess that's what happens when Trojan is the #1 sponsor of a concert).
I prefer seats because everyone is assigned their own little space and you don't have that problem of being drenched in other's body liquids XD
Plus the stands here get pretty active too, you don't have to be in the mosh pit to dance around C:
As much as I'd love to see a half-conscious doodle from you, I do hope you do get some sleep XD

wadifahtook In reply to KiRAWRa [2010-11-15 04:18:47 +0000 UTC]

I got sleep, so now I'm not nearly as entertaining/dumb. D:

But condom balloons? I've only seen those at high school. XD I actually don't mind the tall-guy-sweat so much, all part of the experience! I've only been to one sit-down not-classical concert, and I really was miserable (NIN in DC. It was kind of funny. There were a bunch of lame suburbanites there cheering along with the anit-suburbia photos...I don't think they listen to the lyrics). I've gotta be up dancing, or the catharsis of full-concert experience is lost on me as I feel like I could do that at home with Kil's killer speaker system. I say...chairs and balconies for some, mosh pits and dance floors for others! XD

You saw Nine Inch Nails live? Waaaahhhh I'm so jealous!
Sounds like where you live is kind of lame for concerts XD You should travel to Seattle! Every band I've seen here says Seattle is the most lively (though I just assumed they say that to every city) but I guess they're not kidding XD
Like I said, you really don't have to be in the pit to dance around, as long as you're not in the handy-cap section, everyone is out of their seats. Oh god I didn't mean for that to sound as bad as it did DX
