there are times when you need to keep trying, but sometimes there's nothing you can do. all you can do is cut your losses and carry on. I had a hard time realising that, but just because someone has been your friend for a long time doesn't necessarily mean that they are a good friend, or that they're a positive impact on your life. i miss the old times, but they are the old times for a reason. it's time for us both to grow up and time for us to both look at the mistakes we made, and hopefully, you'll learn not to make those mistakes again. it's your chance to re-evaluate yourself and your actions and your words, and maybe one day you will realise how you hurt me and why i'm doing this. i won't let you hold me back from being myself and being happy anymore just for your own benefit because it made your life easier. that's not how friendship works.

i'm going to be happy and i'm going to pursue what I want to. i'm finally figuring myself and my future out, and it's a slow process, but it's better than nothing.
