Actually, the rings are just a squished doughnut with a certain texture. The main problem was getting the backdrop to appear as it should.

ah, the programs I have would have troubles with the rings. I use GIMP and Apophysis. It's realy cool looking.

I use Bryce and Terragen for all of my generated work. Gimp is a good program, too. I will have to look up Apophysis, though. The texture was 'Saturn Rings' by Mike Audleman. It came with the Bryce program.
