Well, it looks like Liz is not a total jerk to Max, given that she actually did have some doubts about leaving him stuck like that for such a long time! And thankfully, JJ did free him eventually, but I do think she enjoyed making him sweat about what she was going to do. Okay, I don't care how strong and thick that resin of yours is. The fact that JJ swung a SLEDGEHAMMER to his head, he should've been dead. i know what would happen if he wasn't set free at the end and yes might be a dark turn but...Man I'm pretty sure most would agree with me on this but i would have loved if he was stuck like that much longer and somehow survived regardless.
Oh well hopefully we get to see him forcefully become a cosplay statue again sometime in the future.

Yeah, the impact would be brutal IRL, but given this is a fantasy comic, the hammer to the head is admittedly pretty funny. Look on the bright side! He got to win first place and "wow" all the judges and people who came to see him in his beautiful mermaid statue form. On top of that, the girls now consider his score settled (more or less) and he didn't even have to endure that pose for too long overnight. It's a win-win if you ask me
