Dans l'histoire qui sera relatée dans les BD en préparation, Nathaniel n'aura pas souvent l'occasion d'être calme et serein au cours de sa vie. Mais ce sera auprès d'Heléa qu'il trouvera toujours assez de paix pour dormir du sommeil du juste. Même si le monde autour venait à s'écrouler. Elle est le premier anneau du tatouage qui entoure son bras...

I know it says you used watercolor but it was so detailed I thought you used colored pencils or something too

I used white pen too for some little touches ^^ But yes, all the rest is with watercolors on pencil lineart.

I like this for a few reasons:
A) The colors are all very soft, and soothing. The clothing hangs loosely on the figures and sweeps downward, generating an overall lazy or settled, laid back feeling. Very calming.
B) There is a bit of controversy in the stereotypical sense in this image. Typically it is the female who goes to the male for comfort in this manner, but in this picture it is the opposite. I think this really portrays the reality of things, that even if the male acts tough he needs compassion as well, needs to be cradled 'in the hollow of her arms.'
So yeah. I like this piece.

In general, I like to create characters with weakness and strength, they are women or men. So I consider they both need compassion sometimes.

First of all, YOU DESERVE ALL THE CREDIT AND ADMIRATION for doing this in watercolours!
This picture turned out so beautifully and it is so gentle and serene with its pose and emotions, that it is truly inspiring, because it makes you feel something instantly from the moment you look at it (from the colours) to the deep care and emotion that the two people emit.

C'est amusant, mon mauvais anglais m'a fait faire une erreur assez poétique. Persuadée de longue date, va savoir pourquoi, que "hollow" signifiait "ombre", je comprenais "à l'ombre de ses bras" et je trouvais ça terriiiiiblement joli. Ce qui collait super bien à la tendresse du dessin. Et... non, je reprends mon bonnet d'âne en anglais et c'est un creux. Bah.
Ce qui n'enlève rien à la paisible tendresse de la scène. Cela dit, je suis considérablement détournée des personnages par les détails du décor, j'aime énormément les motifs que tu as mis partout avec un faible tout particulier pour ceux de la banquette tout devant, ouaiiiis *_* On sombre souvent dans la facilité pas prise de tête mais là, toi, tu as eu le courage de chiader tes décos, j'aime !
Et puis une petite note pour les ombrages du revêtement de la couchette qui sentent bon l'observation et sont une réussite aussi 
Il y a également un truc qui me fascine dans les effets que tu as rendus dans le rideau (?) horizontal le plus à l'arrière *o_o*

Et j'avoue que j'ai eu le même doute sur le mot hollow. J'étais aussi persuadée, va savoir pourquoi, que ça voulait dire ombre. On gardera ce côté poétique pour nous
Sinon, pour les détails, ça reste mon jeu favori pour finaliser un décor. Je ne suis pas du genre à surchargé, parce que j'aime ce qui est épuré, mais là, j'avais en tête quelque chose de plus orientale, égyptien ou méditerranéen, antique en tout cas. Et donc où l'on utilisait les murs, les meubles pour raconter beaucoup plus de chose. Et je récidiverai dès que j'aurai l'occasion
Sinon, pour l'anecdote, le canapé a été entièrement fait d'imagination. Je sais que j'ai une bonne vision en volume des choses. J'ai simplement joué sur ces volumes avec la lumière. Et je suis la première a être bluffée par le résultat. Tout comme les rideaux (oui, ce sont bien des rideaux
