How do you grow the ivory wings of an angel?
Someone has yet to discover it, and yet to tell.
I crave the beauty, the passion, the awe.
I want this rusted ice in my heart to thaw.
How do i take this barbed wire that digs into my skin,
reverse all order, and turn it into satin?
How do i protect a fortress with no walls?
When i have no weaponry at all.
The seams are all ripping
as my hope begins slipping
on the blood my heart's dripping
the axis is tipping,
and the world wont stop spinning.
Lies turn to ash in my mouth as I realize they're winning
frosted by ice, my warmth stolen away

I look up behind me and see you, looking down at me.
I smile softly, tearfully joyful at what i see.

I look into your honey colored eyes, and see my other half.
You lips touch mine, so warm and familiar.
I feel the flesh on my back splinter,
it split, and shattered,
instead of it being broken and tattered,
I looked behind myself to find those ivory wings,
It's amazing what a lovers kiss can bring.
