That pose is quite original. The density of the b&w fits with that very intense look.

interesting portrait, again I like the square and the black and white.
and the sharp focus so you can even see the texture of the skin...

excellent job, superb model, simple & classic but elegant pose, great light, skin texture more real than real, beautiful grain. I am just a lil'worried by the high contrast concentrated in the low levels (absence of highlights) but it doesn't hurt. as a general critic for your work, I am really frustrated by the absence of exif and/or description and the titles also--no offense, what I am trying to say is that it seems like you want to keep the mystery but a lil'too much . anyway, your model here is perfect, I love the darkness of the pic, its framing and facial expression a lot
last minute thing: unless it is intentional, watch out for the 1 pixel thick grayish line in btwn the border (a bit too thin IMHO) and the pic, which tells me that you likely sharpened after the addition of the border instd of before... other than that compliments, you are really skilled at catching great expressions--love your portrait stuff

Wow! What a comment!
About exif - I shoot on film only, so there is no exif. What information or description do you want to know? Really, I don't go much into descriptions, they flattens the picture, I think. Picture should be free of facts, it should be something about belief, you know? So everyone could find something to believe, in particular picture, and not grabbing onto facts. My english is terrible, I suppose?

np, my pleasure buddy. don't worry about your English, I'm French
sorry for the silly thing about exif...I should have known! however, infos are still always welcome although people is not obliged to read it!... I was wondering mostly about focal length, aperture, iso and film size--this helps a lot understanding the lighting situation, grain, checking for putative distorsion, etc. I mean of course, I am looking at the pic; but then I try and dissect it just a bit: may help the photog but also a fun way to learn...

This shot made with minolta 7 + minolta AF 50/1.4, aperture 2, if I remember correctly... Then crop to fit square, and made black-and-white from color, in photoshop.

thanx for sharing--be sure, this doesn't remove anything to your pic or my interpretation/understanding of it.

thank you!
it was a color film fuji 400, which I made b/w in photoshop, so it is a native grain
