abigailmh In reply to Vuas [2009-04-20 22:29:04 +0000 UTC]

Haha, great stuff. I haven't listened to them in a long while, myself, but that's probably because my iPod has been out of juice for ages. I need to dig up the power cord someday.

Regarding a drawing, ahhh... I'm not too sure! You don't have to do one for me if you don't really want to. If you do, though, I can send you a note about it later?

Are you serious? I couldn't live with out my mp3 for two days. I'll go through withdrawal >-> (that's spelled right too-I checked. But it's spelled weirddd)

nahh, it's cool. I can draw whatever you want, whenever. Note me when you know what it's gonna be.

Haha, I didn't think I would be able to survive, either, but somehow I'm still here. I like to credit Pandora (which you should really check out if you haven't already - I believe the url is [link] ) and Minneapolis's fantastic radio stations for that.

Re:drawing, sounds great - I'll try and get back to you later tonight.

Vuas In reply to abigailmh [2009-04-20 22:41:51 +0000 UTC]

Something's wrong with the url; or I apparently dont have permission to accsess it. Something of the sort, I suppose.

Lucky. Radio stations here are terrible. I live in the middle of nowhere, and get horrible reception.
AND THEY PLAY NO FRANK SINATRA/THE KILLERS

It would make me a happy person if they did

abigailmh In reply to Vuas [2009-04-20 22:44:43 +0000 UTC]

Ah, my bad! It's actually [link] . I thought it was .org for some reason. If I remember right, you need to register with them, but beyond that it's free - you create your own little radio stations and it plays similar music to what you originally entered. Ie if you put in "KISS," it'll play a little KISS, along with similar bands.

It sucks that you don't have good radio stations. Up here in the Twin Cities we have several really good stations; one of them is The Current, which plays local alternative/rock, then we have 92.5 for classic rock, and 107.9 for oldies. I think I'd probably be a much crankier person if I didn't have something good to listen to while I drive. I'm already grumpy enough when I'm on the road, haha.

The whole "create your own radio station" thing sounds coolio.
Well at least you can drive. *Still two years away from magical #16*
And even then I'm pretty sure nobody's gonna trust me on the road in a large metal contraption ha ha

It's amaaazing, especially when you work in an office and need a dynamic playlist. Cough cough.

You're only 14? Your art's very good for your age! Are you going to go for a job as an illustrator later on? Also, I hope you don't mind me spamming your comments section, I'm super chatty lol.

Vuas In reply to abigailmh [2009-04-20 23:01:49 +0000 UTC]

Wish I could play music in school. That's when I need a dynamic playlist.

Indeed, I am only fourteen;-; I feel too young to do cool stuff and too old to play anymore.

GAH the in between years~

lol, It's ok to spam anything XD I do it every two weeks when my art gets piled up haha

I don't really want to be and illustrator when I grow up...I'd rather work as a therapist or phycologist. (weird, right? All my friends think so )

abigailmh In reply to Vuas [2009-04-20 23:07:46 +0000 UTC]

Well, see, the way you get around that - if you have long hair - is to pull your hair over your ears so that you cover the earbuds, then wear a hoodie/sweatshirt and snake the cord down underneath it. You can cut a hole through the interior of the pocket and stick your music player in it from there.

... I may or may not have done this a lot in High School. <_<

And wanting to be a therapist/psychologist isn't weird - I used to want to be one, too, but it ended up not being my field. It's a very interesting subject to study, definitely gets a lot harder / more in-depth in college.

Vuas In reply to abigailmh [2009-04-20 23:13:46 +0000 UTC]

Pfft I totally belive you on the whole "I did nothing of the sort while I was in highschool >_>"

Totally.

Awww dont say stuff like that. Studying is definatly not my forte. I'm mostly coasting along this year, and I dont think I've studied once since fourth grade.

Great studying skills I've got there my mommie is so proudddd.

abigailmh In reply to Vuas [2009-04-20 23:17:59 +0000 UTC]

Nobody is really all that great at studying early on - it's something you really start to focus on and understand in your junior and senior years of high school (or at least, that's when I figured it out). By the time you get to college, it'll be like a second nature to you. Also, I didn't mean to intimidate you with that comment - if you're interested in the subject you're taking, you'll naturally be good at it. Don't fret!

Vuas In reply to abigailmh [2009-04-20 23:24:24 +0000 UTC]

Hmmmm... I wonder when I'll understand. Mostly cause of the fact my superindendant is a littleon the retarded side and we have seperate buildings for the 6th grade to 12th, so you never really go into "Highschool", you just go to the "ninth grade center", or the "eighth grade center". Confusing, yes?

well, I won't lose that much sleep over it. But it is something I'll need to think about.

If you dont mind me asking, what exactly is your job?

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

abigailmh In reply to Vuas [2009-04-20 23:27:43 +0000 UTC]

It'll probably work for you in High School, that's when they really start to focus on it. I don't recall studying much at all before High School, or even during Freshman/Sophomore years, to be honest.

And I work in an office building at the moment, as an intern. I do a lot of random things - sometimes I design layouts for our flyers, other times I research the job market. Most of what I do, however, revolves around search engine optimization, which means I'm trying to find ways to get people to visit our websites more often.

I'm sure it sounds tremendously boring, haha.

Hmmm... I'm quite sure that most of society don't like being told going to the garage to get an ice cream bar is more interesting then their job, but...

Well I'm sure you get the idea. haha (hope you don't take offence)

Designing flyers sounds somewhat interesting.

abigailmh In reply to Vuas [2009-04-20 23:42:56 +0000 UTC]

Rofl no offense taken. XD I've learned to shorten it up a lot when describing it to people, or their eyes will just glaze over. Oftentimes I just say "I make sure people look at our websites."

Just wanted to let you know in case I suddenly stopped Can't have people thinking I'm dead, now can we.
