Description A shape-shifting Baterra assassin revealing its true form.

Their depiction in the comics looks suspiciously set-based. Makes you wonder whether they had already planned how they would have looked as sets. Most of their parts are easily identifiable as existing Bionicle pieces, save for the head. They would make pretty decent sets, if you ask me.

Actually, the plan was going to be to release the baterra as sets in 2010 before they decided to get rid of the toyline altogether.

I wish they had released them regardless. I'd've bought about a dozen of them!

Me too... Those sets would have brought us, as far as I could tell from the pictures, WHITE Stronius armor pieces, and even WHITE Stronius helmet! I mean, how awesome would that have been? I could have make, like, an albino Skrall! xD

a skrall had a nightmare of turning silver and having a baterra inside of him.
don't do it the skrall would only freak out about it.

The frick'n Baterra is a spy!!(TF2 reference)

And yes, I also agree on that last statement. Too bad production stoped before they had a chance to be made.

It surprised me a bit when they explained that the only way in which a Baterra won't attack you is if you have no weapons....
This is an awesome design, though. I really like the spikes poking out of him and the face/snout. Nice work on melding the body and tree together too. :3 Your inking techniques are very effective as well.

Er, spoilers, much?

Not that I am complaining. I have it, I just want to help the sales.

On the art, it looks awesome. I just wish I knew what the lower leg armor connected to, but I suspect a Metru leg.

I think it would've been great to have a set of the Baterra. I've always imagined them looking like Bohrok though, because in one place or another I read that the Great Beings or whoever made the Bohrok based them off of the Baterra.
