Yes, you are correct and most of the cockatoos that visit my balcony are young ones although a few older ones arrive as well and are obvious by the loss of feathers on their body and at times deformities of their beaks.

I am reservedly jealous. I would love to have the opportunity to see these beautiful creatures coming and going from my balcony and be able to take pictures of them, but then they can be both destructive and noisy so maybe it is best to appreciate from afar Thanks for sharing, I love the feather detail and the shallow depth of field

You are correct in Cockatoos being noisy and destructive although I have been lucky in regards to damage done as they have been well behaved.
Though at times can be very noisy when there are arguments about getting the best spot to enjoy eating the seed I put out for them.
