Description More pictures of my Ordo Malleus Inquisitor costume. These are the action-y shots that show off the inferno pistol, which I couldn't carry around con due to overly strict con-ops people. It couldn't be easily peacebound and kept slipping down, and I couldn't just carry it because apparently it could maybe sorta look like a single-barreled shotgun at 20 ft in dim lighting. *eyeroll* Ranting aside, I like the way the pistol turned out.

I hate how insanely UN-trusting they have gotten at cons about stupid things. Its mostly insurance companies freaking out about POSSIBILITIES that have not happened...but occasionally it takes one drunken idiot to ruin it for everyone

Thanks! And yeah, particularly cons with a younger audience. Comic-Con is pretty lenient about weapons but they are dealing with a primarily adult audience so it makes sense. Fanime deals with teenagers, often unsupervised. They react as strongly as they can because any incident would get blown way out of proportion.

sorry for second comment, but yeah, I had an unloaded BB-pistol, they condemned that, but I took it in anyways for shits an giggles, considering that I BOUGHT IT AT THE CON. I also bought a now-broken and sawed-up bo-ken.

Fanime, the con I wore this to, has a pretty strict policy on weapons, probably because of the number of teens and pre-teens running around. When I took weapons to comic-con, they never batted an eye. It depends on where you go and the age range they're targeting.

There is a Wich Hunters mod for DoW-Dark Crusade that has a stunning Lady Inquisitor model in a great outfit (tight leather ^^). Maybe you should check it out?

Thank you! I just hope I can capture the nature of Saint Sabbat in my next 40K costume. A saint is harder to portray than an inquisitor, I think.

Thank you! A piece of advice for making inquisition outfits like witch hunters is never stick to just one reference picture. Look at all the official ones, minis, written descriptions, but also check out historical costumes from the middle ages to the 18th century. Those are a great inspiration.

awesome,thanks for the advice,yeah thats what im doing at the moment,im going off the mini and a few images from the codex and from some comics in warhammer monthly,i also get a few ideas from some white dwarf magazine pics,but refrencing from old 18th centry times is great idea aswell thanks,i look forward to your sisters outfit once its done,the emperor protects!

Heh heh, though the pistol looks nice I think you would look better (hotter) with a Bolt Pistol and a ChainSword. I don't know why but all girls are hot when they have huge guns and Chainsaws.
