I remember thinking. I'd never realized how niave and optimistic I was... blindly believing that I would make it and

she would be alright.

Such a stupd fool.

My throat ached as I worked every muscle I had sprinting for what seemed like an eternity but over the horizon the roof was approaching.

I made it on time... but Time wasn't on my side that night.

I reached to roof and I saw him, Shredder, and...

my Annie being secured by Tigerclaw .

Her eyes locked with mine for a split second and it was enough to see her hope restored as she saw me arrive.

Like a mad mutant I dashed towards them but I-

I never had a chance...

One swipe.

That's all it took.

Just one from his sleek knives...

And

My daughter, my baby, my love, my joy, my light, and anything that made me who I was...

died that night...

Everything was silent, making the pain deafining... I felt myself scream as warm tears streaked from my eyes but I heard nothing, saw nothing
but her...

I crawled over to her small frame, already a pool of blood forming around her that seemed to bleed endlessly from the wound...

I traced her face with my hands, gingerly pusing away her straight hair out of her beautiful face...

I cradled her as I would have done like any other night before she went to sleep...

I held her in my arms as she grew wings to soar high above this dark world...

I was too late...

Now, I live each day knowing she deserved more than what she had.

I live knowing each breath I take is one that should belong to her.

I live in a world that has no clue it had lost a brilliant shinning star in a dark void.

I live forever marked as a failure...

A heroine who was destined to loose the one person she'd thought she would always save...

But I was super inspired by my DA bestie and her newest TMNT character's backstory!! She has a picture on her account that I gave a shot at but made a second one. You should definitely check out the other one I sketched Diana first then addded the really bad background digitally and the shading. UUgh I failed there

I feel like I wrote the little P.O.V of Diana okay but it doesn't feel like it's gutt wrenching enough but here you go my candy queen!
