my DEATH by DOLL composition, ACRYLICS version on a 9" x 12" canvas.p.s. the ORIGINAL looks A LOT better of COURSE. It's a lot more vivid. SCANNING takes some of the LIFE out of it.
p.p.s. She's still a work in PROGRESS.

What a neat piece. I love the way you alligned the refleciton in the knives. Great job. At first I thought this was a digital work.... a photo run through a filter, but I'm glad it is acrylics instead.

It's VERY MUCH a RESPONSE to DIGITAL WORK. I SEE A LOT of DIGITAL WORK IMMITATING TRADITIONAL WORK, so I've TAKEN DIGITAL into TRADITIONAL

Turning a picture digital is a nightmare isn't it! I prefer scanning actually, it's not perfect i know but with a digital camera there's all sorts of problems with lighting - it usually ends up that my best shot makes the centre of the picture much whiter than it should be
But i really like the idea of this painting, it's quite freaky! I can just image a huge version of this on a wall, it would be pretty awesome. Good stuff
