Description Hi everyone, this is a commissioned portrait I was asked to do as a suprise birthday gift, from a husband to his wife. It was quite a challenge and a great learning curve.

MATERIALS

Mechanical pencils 3H through to 8B.
Putty rubber.
Hard plastic eraser.
Pastel blending sticks.
Fabriano cold pressed/fine grain/300gr paper. Drawing approx 16 x 12 inches in size.
Approx 40 hours spent over a month.

Hi, and thanks for commenting. Yes i was relieved to hear the lady was very pleased with it. I always hate the time between finishing a portrait and the time the person actually sees it. Anyway it's another one done, but time for something a little more surreal next !
