You've made some serious progress since I've seen your art last. That hair and that outfit, crazy detail in there, you could market an outfit like that too it's a great design. Small CC, and sorry if someone already pointed this out, but the dual light source I like where you're going with it but I think you should show a few more reflections of the purple say at the corner of her collar and under the jaw and ear, would make her clothes pop a bit more and you'd only need just a hint. Otherwise it looks great!

Thanks a bunch for the input! I'm definitely trying to work on my lighting/backlighting a bit more so I'll certainly take that into consideration

The detail here is amazing, particularly in the hair, but also the bodice, with the brocade and frills.
One aspect of costume detail to keep in mind might be thickness of cloth. I see that you took it into account where cloth wraps around the body, but I can't help but think that the vest-thingy would work better if there were double lines showing the thickness of the cloth in some places (the heavy cords attached to it make it look like it should be made of heavy cloth).

Good call! I forget about details like that and often treat different cloths the same, even though they're not. Thanks Anke!!

Wow, those purple eyes creep me out, but I like it! The outfit is pretty neat, and I have to agree that the hair came out awesome. It kinda reminds me of the intricate feathers from a certain school-project-turkey-drawing-on-foil that my parents felt necessary to display on the piano, yet again, over the Thanksgiving holiday. Anyways.
Have you tried strengthening the shadowing with the good 'ol technique of highly contrasting colors? An overlay in the spectrum of teal through violet could really add some depth and ambiance. I'm intrigued when colored line drawings have their lines "eaten" by interesting shadows, but that's more my personal preference than anything artistic.
Perhaps a little overall pinkinsh-orange blush might make her skin tone look a bit little healthier and alive?
Keep up the great figure drawing. I'm looking forward to the next installment.

ahh yes teal would have worked very nice, wouldn't it? I'll have to do another drawing like this using a similar color scheme and try adding in teal shadows. and I agree with your comment on the skin tones.
The hair kinda does look like a turkey drawing, with the buns all fanned out? Haha. Did your parents actually bust out your old art for this past holiday? My mom stopped doing that a while ago, thankfully
